Authenticity
Montjoie speaks with sincerity and transparency. All Management decisions are taken in collaboration with the teams and in the interest of its stakeholders, while preserving the initial DNA of the establishment.
Located on the heights of Ramonville Saint-Agne, you will discover the Domaine de Montjoie : a six-hectare English-style park, a four-star hotel, a bistronomic restaurant, seven seminar rooms and an outdoor swimming pool. Let's go back a few years to discover its history.
Originally, the Domaine de Montjoie was a small Louis XVI château built in 1760 on the southern slopes of Toulouse. Completed by 2 brick and pebble farmhouses, it was surrounded by agricultural land.
One of the family members, who had just returned from the Egyptian Campaign led by Bonaparte (1798 - 1801), built an annex : “The Atrium”. Its unique red brick columns reflect the Egyptian architectural style of the time.
In 2015, the place reinvented itself and became the Domaine de Montjoie. Its founding President, Mr. Hubert Faure undertakes the renovation of the establishment to transform it into a place for seminars and receptions. Seven rooms with warm and authentic architecture were then built in the main building of the “Château”.
The renovation of the establishment continues in 2018 with the opening of the restaurant and the transformation of the outbuildings (named "la Closerie") to accommodate twenty-four new rooms and seven seminar rooms.
The year 2018 also marks the company's membership of the Best Western ® Hotels & Resorts cooperative and the obtaining of the BW Premier Collection label.
Montjoie is a family business. Its manager, Hubert Faure, unifier and driver of the company's societal and environmental commitment, listens to his teams, whom he knows how to motivate in taking initiatives in favor of a sustainability approach.
Indeed, one of the key values of the establishment a growth that is part of a sustainable approach that takes into account: "its current and future economic, social and environmental impacts, by meeting the needs of visitors, professionals, the environment and host communities”.
Montjoie, as a member of Best Western Hotel Group, applies the principles, practices and values defined in the Group's Ethics Charter in its daily activity.
Ethics, integrity, social responsibility, loyalty, trust, respect for people and human rights are at the heart of its concerns.
Montjoie speaks with sincerity and transparency. All Management decisions are taken in collaboration with the teams and in the interest of its stakeholders, while preserving the initial DNA of the establishment.
Cooperative decision-making promotes tolerance, respect, listening, sharing and exchange. Mutual aid and solidarity are at the heart of the mode of organization of the activity, allowing employees to evolve in a climate of trust and kindness.
Employees commitment is a decisive factor in the long-term success of the company. Attentive to the needs and expectations of all its stakeholders, Montjoie is committed to providing a quality service.
The realization of an inventory and an action plan in terms of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) makes it possible to ensure that the policy, strategy and practices of the company are compatible with the 6 goals of sustainable development:
The global approach is implemented in conjunction with the various stakeholders and takes into account the environmental and socio-economic footprint of the company.
For its very committed CSR policy, the Domaine de Montjoie has received the Toque Verte distinction from Tables & Auberges de France, and the Clé Verte label (1st sustainable tourism label).
The establishment is located in the heart of a natural area classified as “wooded areas”. Century-old trees such as cedars from Lebanon, magnolias and oaks are present in its 6-hectare park. The fauna is also very diverse.
A composting system was initiated in 2020 allowing the recycling of green waste and bio-waste (excluding meat waste): organic waste from catering such as fruits, vegetables, eggs, coffee grounds, bread, plan waste,… Over a year of full activity, around 1 ton of compost is thus produced.
Montjoie has its own vegetable garden to grow lasagna and recycle green waste (cut grass, shredded wood, earth from the exploitation of the estate). it promotes biodiviersity by providing food and sheleter to the species of birds present on the estate and the pollination of bees. The vegetable garden was enlarged in 2021.
The cosmetic welcome products in room carry the European eco-label, designed to minimize the impact on the environment and on the aquatic ecosystem (body and hair gel, liquid soap and moisturizing cream). The choice of local, organic and sustainable food and beverages is always preferred, as are short circuits.
You can walk through Montjoie like through an art gallery : no less than 200 contemporary works of art (painting, sculpture, photography, etc.) are exhibited within the walls. The artists, mostly from Toulouse, offer their works for sale, at workshop price (without margin).
